About Us

The aim of the Hertfordshire Branch is to raise funds so that Hearing Dogs for Deaf People can train more dogs to help more deaf people.

Would you like a speaker for your School, Club or Organisation? Would you like a visit by a Hearing Dog? Do you meet in Hertfordshire or the adjoining counties? Our speakers are happy to give illustrated talks to schools, youth groups and adult organisations, usually accompanied by a working hearing dog.

What Hearing Dogs Do

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People select dogs suitable for this job and then train these dogs to alert severely, profoundly or totally deaf people to everyday sounds which hearing people may take for granted such as:
